Naruto Shippuuden Episode 98- Target Appears
Well, Kishi has a very good reason for putting up Naruto Shippuuden Filler Episodes 89 up to present. Here in naruto shippuuden episode 98, the 3-tailed beast/ bijuu is almost revealed. In the next episode (Naruto Shippuuden Episode 99- The Rampaging Tailed Beast), the 3-tailed beast will surely be fully revealed.

On the left side picture is Yuukimaru on Shippuuden episodes. On the right side picture is the former host of the 3-tailed beast/ demon turtle. See their facial similarities.
Episode 98 revealed the purpose of Guren and Yuukimaru’s powers. The tailed-beast that has been dwelling under the lake water appears each time Yuukimaru unleashes his power through Kabuto’s medicine and helmet-thing. Guren’s "Jade Crystal Hexagonal Column’s" purpose might be to trap the 3-tailed beast.
In the meantime, Hinata has broken out of the crystal prison. Leaf ninjas have found out that Guren’s crystal can’t crystallized chakra. Hinata has released chakra on all points of her body when she was about to be crystallized and that saved her from being fully-crystallized by Guren’s crytal.
In addition, Guren has shown a new crytal style jutsu "Burst Crystal Falling Dragon". Well i guess Guren could really put up different sets of jutsu by reshaping her crystals.
