The Naruto Shippuuden Episode 119 - Kakashi Chronicles: Boys’ Life on the Battlefield Part 1 and 2 were the animation episodes taken from Naruto Manga Chapter 239 entitled "Mission Start" up to Naruto Manga Chapter 244 entitled "Heroes of the Sharingan".

Naruto Manga Chapter 244 - Heroes of the Sharingan
These chapters tells the story of the birth of the two Third Great Ninja War heroes carrying sharingan, that is, Kakashi and Obito.
These chapters feature the 4th Hokage, Minato, who was still jonin at that time and the captain of young ninjas: young Kakashi, Obito (an Uchiha) and Rin.
These chapters start off with Kakashi being promoted as jonin. Because of his promotion, Kakashi was given a medical kit by Rin, a special kunai by Minato and nothing from Obito. Kakashi was then made captain and his members were Obito and Rin. They were instantly given a mission by Minato to destroy the Kanabi Bridge.
The end of the mission gave birth to the two heroes carrying sharingan, Kakashi and Obito. Kakashi lived on while Obito died saving him.
Obito awakened his sharingan during the mission while Kakashi possessed the sharingan when Obito was about to die.
Obito knew that he wouldn’t survive much longer when a rock fell on the right part of his body, so he decided to have Rin transfer his left sharingan eye to Kakashi’s wounded left eye.
Kakashi and Rin survived after they were saved by Minato. Minato had instantly transported himself from a far place to Kakashi’s location with the help of the special kunai.
The special kunai (the gift Minato gave to Kakashi) has a jutsu in it which would allow Minato to arrive at a place in an instant, this is why Minato was called the Yellow Flash.
