A. How to Uninstall a Program in Windows XP:

1. Go To START button

2. Click on Control Panel

3. Select Add/Remove Programs

3. Select the program you want to uninstall

4. Click on the Add/Remove button

5. Then, just follow the programs uninstall instructions.

B. How to go to Command Prompt:

1. Go to START button

2. Click on RUN

3. Type in cmd and click OK

4. The command prompt window will open.

C. How to PING:

1. Go to Command Prompt

2. Type ping space and the name the address

    example: ping www.yahoo.com

3. Packet loss=zero (means modem is able to reach the address)

D. How to ipconfig:

1. Go to Command Prompt

2. Type ipconfig

3. Press Enter key on keyboard

4. ipaddress, subnet mask, and default gateway information will show up.

E. How to traceroute:

1. Go to Command Prompt

2. Type tracert space and the name of address

    example: tracert www.yahoo.com

F. How to go to Device Manager:

1. Right click on My Computer

2. Select Manage

3. Window will show up

4. Click Device Manager on the left sidebar.

G. How to go to Network Adapter:

1. Go to Device Manager

2. On the right pane, click on Network Adapter

3. (X)=driver disabled, (!)=driver problem, (?)=driver uninstalled

H. How to Optimize Internet Explorer

1. Open Internet Explorer Browser

2. Click on Tools tab

3. Select Internet Options

4. Click on Delete Cookies and Delete Files buttons

5. Click OK.

1. Click on START button

2. Click on Control Panel

3. Click on Network Connections

4. Right Click on Network Connections

5. Click on Properties button

J. How to Assign Static IP address

1. Go to Network Connection Properties

2. Click on TCP/IP

3. Click on Properties button

4. Click on "Use the following ip address" radio button

5. Input the IP address on the space provided

6. Click OK.
